- Making a pattern from a section of our project car
Clear Auto Bra digital patterns are produced at Sierra Invisible Shield when our regular pattern library may not have what’s needed to best fit our project. In the photos attached, you will see the digitizer board we use to create new patterns for our plotter cutter to produce new designs for the auto installations. We first make a paper pattern from the actual car section we need to copy for a pattern, then bring it to the drawing board, computer copy the line sections and connect the dots. Next, we save the file pattern to the cutter for pattern cutting, cut the pattern, then take it to the car for installation. This new pattern will now be available for reproduction over and over. Yes, we made our own pattern for our I-phones..our cost for the film and cutting …..35 cents .
Dispelling Clear Auto Bra Installer Certification Myth

Over the past five months, we have experienced customer feedback on some dealers’ sales techniques that include reference to clear auto bra film installers and their need to be certified to install clear auto bra film on their vehicles. While, indeed, the installer should be trained and certified to do a quality job in the installation of clear auto bra film, there is no certification for an installation ON a specific vehicle (for example, Mercedes-Benz) BY a specific manufacturer (Mercedes-Benz).
Granted that certain body shops need a manufacturer’s training and certification to meet the degree of manufacturer’s auto body repair specification for complex body shop work, it is not the same as applying paint protection film or stickers to a car or tinted film to a car window.
This form of sales coercion makes it sound like it will affect the manufacturer’s new car warranty if you don’t use their preferred clear auto bra film installer. Don’t be fooled. Ask more questions.
